INITIAL AND ANNUAL PRIVACY DISCLOSURE

National Community Foundation (“NCF”) is a division of New Life International, a Tennessee nonprofit corporation. NCF values the time and interest of its contributors and annuitants and accordingly takes affirmative measures to ensure the security and privacy of data pertaining to them and to those who visit its Web site.  Recognizing that individuals have entrusted NCF with personal financial information, the Board of Directors and management of NCF note that the following data protection and privacy practices have been instituted:

  1. Specific security protection practices to ensure privacy of information.
  2. Control methods to limit access to NCF’s files, network and its database of information.
  3. Procedures to ensure the maintenance of accurate information.
  4. Procedures regarding the disclosure of contributor, annuitant and beneficiary information.
  5. Incorporation of contributor and annuitant data privacy statements in third party service and business agreements.
  6. Education of staff regarding NCF’s commitment to protect contributor and annuitant right to data privacy.

 

Accuracy of Information 

Every effort is made to ensure that contributor and annuitant records are complete and correct. Any person detecting an error in a contribution acknowledgement letter, annuity contract or on any other communication from NCF should contact the organization at the number listed below as soon as possible.

Collection and Use of Information Relating to Transactions

In order to effectively and accurately process transactions, NCF collects certain nonpublic personal and financial information about contributors and annuitants.  We collect only the information that is necessary to deliver quality products and services to our contributors and annuitants.  However, such information is maintained in accordance with the principles set forth in this Notice.  Such information includes, but may not be limited to information received from individuals on applications, worksheets or other forms through our Web site, and from financial planners, attorneys and CPAs who facilitate or provide consultation in connection with transactions.

Information that NCF’s Web site “natcf.org” May Collect

The only information received by NCF through its Web Site at www.natcf.org regarding individuals is the information given to NCF via visitors’ feedback or form completion. NCF’s Web site may use a feature known as “cookies,” which is a set of information that its Web server assigns to the visitor’s hard drive when visiting the site. Cookies enable the site to communicate

with the computer user to facilitate navigation through the site.  NCF does not record or otherwise retrieve personal or sensitive information through its cookies. 

Providing information or giving access to information to anyone other than NCF is done at the risk of the information provider.  This includes visiting another party’s Web site, even if such person reached the Web site by a hyperlink to or from the NCF Web site.  By using a hyperlink from the NCF Web site, individuals may be accessing a site that is not maintained or monitored by NCF. NCF is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites.

Protecting the Confidentiality, Security and Integrity of Information

NCF is committed to protecting the security of its contributor and annuitant personal and financial information.  Employees are required to comply with NCF’s privacy policies and procedures. NCF does not share nonpublic information about contributors and annuitants with outside organizations for the purpose of marketing.  In fact, NCF restricts access to nonpublic, personal information about contributors and annuitants to classes of persons who have a need or legal right to know such information.  NCF otherwise maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect such nonpublic, personal information.  In addition, from time to time, NCF assesses and implements new technologies, as they become economically available, to protect the privacy of confidential information.
